Ah Wei (played by Dicky Cheung) is being hunted by the gang after killing a thug of a gang boss. He escapes to Thailand with his friend Jackson (played by Lee Siu-Ming) for refuge. There, Ah Wei meets the master of black magic, Cai Wang (played by Yuen Qianwen). Cai Wang not only possesses powerful magical skills but also owns a long-lost ancient manual, which makes Ah Wei very envious. One day, Ah Wei secretly watches Cai Wang performing magic and learns a bit. Just then, a hitman from the gang tracks them down to Thailand, and Ah Wei uses his newly acquired black magic to kill the assassin and save his own life. Cai Wang’s sister, A Shui, falls in love with the charming Ah Wei. However, Cai Wang already knows that Ah Wei is not a good person and forces A Shui to leave him. This angers Ah Wei, who then kills Cai Wang, disfigures A Shui, and takes the manual to escape.
