As a child, Tarzan (voiced by Harrison Chad) lived a close-knit life with his mother, Kala (voiced by Glenn Close). Because of his human appearance and unique identity, Tarzan faced disdain and bullying from his ape peers, with only Terk (voiced by Brenda Grate) willing to be his good friend. Growing up in loneliness, Tarzan deeply yearned for the recognition and acceptance of his fellow apes.
