Next to the railway in Peacock Town lives a man with a dark past—John Skillpa (played by Cillian Murphy). He grew up under the oppressive influence of his mother, which ingrained in him a repressive and introverted personality. After his mother's death, John's personality splits, giving rise to a feminine figure within him named Emma. Thus, John shifts between two identities, leading a quiet yet twisted and concealed life. One morning, disaster strikes suddenly. A locomotive derails and crashes into John's yard, startling Emma, who is hanging clothes, and she appears before the townspeople. This sparks a flurry of discussion among them, while John hopes to quickly remove the locomotive from his yard. However, politicians intend to use this incident as a pawn for political struggles. Faced with the ensuing chaos, John and Emma are filled with anxiety, and their conflicts gradually intensify...
