Two thousand years ago, the warlock "The Malefactor" Nhagruul, who spent his life corrupting beings and spreading despair, fell into panic as he approached death. Harboring a hatred for the living, Nhagruul sold his soul to a demon lord in the Abyss in hopes of preserving his wicked essence. In a tortured ritual, Nhagruul's skin was flayed and turned into the pages of a book; his bones became the cover; and his tainted blood was made into the ink used to write this book of evil. Anyone who comes into contact with this book is either driven to madness by its power or corrupted by its sinister knowledge, falling deeper into evil. Nhagruul's followers spread their master's dark dreams wherever they went, bringing with them pain and blood. However, not everyone was swayed by their glory. Nhagruul's followers split the Book of Evil and bribed three greed-blinded individuals to hide the fragments, waiting for the day they could be reunited. Later, the ink of the book was discovered and destroyed. Yet the pages and cover were never found. The nations lived in peace for centuries, while the original knights indulged in their own glory. The horrific memories of the past faded gradually, along with the power of Pelor's faithful. They mistakenly believed that the Book of Evil could never resurface, and in this false notion, they gradually indulged themselves…
