Mike (played by Stephen Dorff) is an ambitious detective who has recently become engrossed in a serial killer case, where four people have already fallen victim to a brutal murderer. With the help of his partner Terry (played by Natascha McElhone), Mike begins to investigate the case. As the investigation deepens, a terrifying website emerges: all four victims had logged onto this site within 48 hours before their deaths, seemingly joining a game under the control of a mysterious woman known as "Black Widow," wagering their lives as the stakes. To uncover the truth, Mike decides to take risks himself; he logs onto the site, and at the same time, the countdown of his last 48 hours begins. Mike must bring the true killer to justice within this time limit, or his fate will be the same as that of the previous four victims.
