The creatures of Halloween Town are used to making mischief every year on Halloween; they are utterly silly beings, only knowing how to scare people. However, Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, is very different. He has grown tired of bringing terror to people and is determined to make some changes. By chance, he opens the door to Christmas Town, and a new vision brightens his mind. Jack ignites the desire to lead his friends in creating Christmas joy. But the creatures of Halloween Town seem to misunderstand the deeper meaning behind it all. Jack kidnaps the chubby Santa Claus and instructs his minions to start making Christmas gifts. With their brains filled only with frightening ideas, how can the Halloween Town folks escape their habitual thinking and create gifts that bring joy? Thus, scary and frightening gifts will be thrown to the children on Christmas night, and as Jack rides in his makeshift sleigh delivering gifts, a cannon is aimed at this well-meaning but misguided creature.
