In ancient times, humans lived in harmony with dragons. However, ambitious humans chose the oceans and the land, dwelling in the eastern realms; the freedom-seeking dragons chose wind and fire, hiding in the western world, and from that point on, the two would no longer intersect. Until one day, two dragons appeared in the human world and began to battle each other, an event that brought immeasurable consequences to humanity. Thousands of livestock died, countless crops withered, drought, famine, and plague spread, the world gradually fell out of balance, and human society was on the brink of collapse. The powerful mage Ged searched for the source of the disaster, during which he encountered a 17-year-old boy, Prince Arren, who feared shadows. This was destined to lead to an extraordinary journey... This film is adapted from the "Earthsea Series" by American female fantasy author Ursula K. Le Guin, produced under the supervision of Goro Miyazaki, the son of Hayao Miyazaki.
