In 2157, 22-year-old Maxim Kamel (played by Vasiliy Stepanov) unexpectedly crashes on the desolate and primitive planet Sarash during an interstellar journey. The ruler known as the Nameless Ancestor uses rays emitted from launch towers to weaken the will of his subjects, but some still rise up in resistance. Meanwhile, war between nations is on the verge of breaking out. Maxim attracts the attention of ambitious individuals due to his extraordinary potential and combat skills, yet he ultimately stands with the rebels, determined to destroy the launch towers. Along his journey, Maxim meets a human from Earth who arrived on Sarash 20 years ago, the one who established the so-called system of absolute obedience. It seems that fate has arranged for Maxim to completely break the old system and liberate the people of the Blue Snake River. His adventure continues... This film is adapted from the science fiction novels by Arkadi Strugatsky and Boris Strugatsky and is the second part of the "Island of the Dead Trilogy."
