Detailed introduction

At some point, a mysterious woman (Scarlett Johansson) appears on the desolate streets of Scotland, dressed in fur and driving a car, her unsmiling face radiating an unsettling charm. She occasionally approaches men on the street, asking them for directions, and sometimes takes chosen men home. She strides into the dark, pursued by men driven by desire, yet remains oblivious to the abyss she is stepping into. The men are like moths to a flame, drained of their essence and left as hollow shells, thin as gossamer. Until one night, the woman picks up an extremely ugly man. He is monstrous in appearance, acutely aware of his ugliness and deeply hiding himself. The woman accepts him as usual, but from the next day, it seems she begins to change subtly. She discovers the beauty within this skin, enjoys the pleasures of being a woman, yet nearly forgets her original identity… The film is based on the novel by Michel Faber.
