In the previous installment, Nancy trapped the demon Freddy Krueger (played by Robert Englund) in the steel-clawed glove and moved away from Elm Street. Jesse (played by Mark Patton) and his family moved in, and ever since Jesse started living in the house, he has been plagued by nightmares that disrupt his peace. By chance, Jesse discovers the steel-clawed glove left behind by Nancy in the basement, allowing Freddy's spirit to escape its confines. Once free, Freddy uses Jesse's body to commit various crimes, and although Jesse tries to control himself to fight against Freddy's influence, Freddy's evil consciousness is too powerful for him to control. When Freddy reaches out to Jesse's girlfriend Lisa, only Jesse can save her. Will Jesse ultimately defeat the demon?
