Norman Winther is one of the last remaining hunters in the world who has a profound understanding of the majestic Rocky Mountains and respects nature. He lives with his Native American wife, Nevasca, from the Nahanni tribe, and a group of loyal Siberian Huskies in a world governed by the rhythms of the changing seasons: racing through the snowy landscape in winter, crossing raging rivers, and encountering attacks from grizzly bears and wolf packs are all part of a hunter's everyday life. Norman has cultivated his unique attitude toward life in this icy world, where sometimes the howling winds drown out speech. This film is a tribute to this breathtaking and vast primitive high-altitude country.
