In a predominantly French-speaking small village of Pondy Pool in Ontario, Canada, the local lighthouse radio station broadcasts the major and minor events happening in the village and around the world day and night. Grant Mazzy (played by Stephen McHattie), Sydney Briar (played by Lisa Houle), and Laurie Ann (played by Georgina Reilly) serve as the hosts and directors of the station, while life in the village is calm and leisurely. After a heavy snowfall, the atmosphere in the village undergoes a dramatic change. People start to go insane, turning into bloodthirsty zombies, and the death toll rises rapidly. Grant and the others soon discover that the source of the zombie virus originates from the radio station, and the carrier of the contagion is, surprisingly, the English language. Pondy Pool is thrown into chaos and is quarantined by the government, leaving nobody aware of what their fate will be...
