Josh Lambert (played by Patrick Wilson), a high school teacher, and his wife Renai (played by Rose Byrne), a freelance musician, have a happy family of five. However, since moving into their new home, panic and unease have followed. Their infant daughter, Kelly, frequently cries for no reason, their son Foster (played by Andrew Astor) is terrified of the bedroom, and their eldest son Dalton (played by Ty Simpkins) falls into a long coma after a frightening incident. After that, various strange and terrifying events occur one after another. The Lamberts are overwhelmed and on the brink of mental collapse, ultimately deciding to leave this ominous place. However, everything does not end there; it seems that the demon haunting them has followed the Lambert family to their new home, threatening to possess Dalton's body...
