This film tells the story of twenty-seven corpses being displayed hanging on the streets overnight, with their bones extracted and their deaths being mysterious. Song Ci, who has never believed in the supernatural, investigates deeply with his female assistant Yu Mo, driven by a pursuit of the ultimate truth. Through examining the web of relationships of the deceased, Song Ci discovers that this is a case of random murders, with the number “27” being significant, connected to the Poxun sect case from ten years ago.
