In an era filled with heroes, the mighty Cimmerian warrior Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger) must reluctantly accept the demands of the foreign queen, Taramis, to accompany the queen's niece, Jenna, in obtaining the magical key known as the "Heart of Evil" in order to resurrect his beloved Valeria. Jenna is the prophesied one mentioned in ancient scrolls, the only person capable of acquiring the key to unlock the fabled treasure. Taramis's plan is to use Conan to protect Jenna and then have them all killed once the mission succeeds. Taramis sends her Captain of the Guards, Bombaata, to accompany and secretly monitor Conan. Along their journey, Conan's group saves an eastern wizard and a black female warrior, along with his thief friend, making a party of seven who arrive at the castle hidden in the lake where the Heart of Evil is kept. The wizard in the castle uses magic to capture Jenna, but after a fierce battle, Conan's team manages to rescue her, marking only the beginning of their adventurous journey...
