In a dark time, ninjas from the Hidden Cloud, Hidden Mist, and Hidden Stone villages are continuously attacked by a mysterious ninja, and all wanted notices from these places point to Naruto Uzumaki (voiced by Junko Takeuchi) from Leaf Village. Naruto is wrongfully accused and ultimately bound and sent to "Blood Prison" in Hozuki Castle. Hozuki Castle is located on a solitary island in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by roaring waves and treacherous cliffs. It houses either the highly guilty or the exceptionally loyal high ninjas, and with the harsh rule of the warden, Muu (voiced by Masaki Terasoma) and tight defenses, Hozuki Castle is considered an absolute dead zone from which escape is impossible. Even knowing the odds, Naruto must find a way to escape from this place. During this process, the conspiracy that wrongfully accused him gradually comes to light... This film is adapted from the classic original work of the same name by Japanese manga artist Masashi Kishimoto and is the eighth installment in the series.
