Female college student Angela (played by Ana Torrent) is writing a thesis on audiovisual violence when her professor dies of a heart attack while collecting materials for her. Angela senses something is amiss and secretly takes a videotape that the professor was watching before his death. Chema (played by Fele Martínez), who has done extensive research on violent videos, helps Angela with the tape. He tells her that the horrific acts recorded on it are real and the victim is likely their long-missing classmate, Vanessa. To uncover the truth, Angela and Chema develop feelings for each other as they investigate. They find Vanessa's boyfriend, Bosque (played by Eduardo Noriega), who surprisingly points the finger at Chema. Caught between the two men, who should Angela believe? A small detail reveals the entire truth, and when the demon shows his true face, can "angel" Angela escape unscathed?
