In the jungle of Bengala, legends speak of three sacred skulls made of gold, silver, and jade. Uniting them can unlock extraordinary powers to dominate the world. Because of this, the Bengala jungle attracts ambitious individuals from all over the globe, yet it is also home to a figure that instills terror in their hearts: The Phantom. The true identity of The Phantom is the Walker family. Four hundred years ago, the ancestors of the Walkers were stranded on Mangal island and were rescued by the native Jadgar tribe. After that, the Jadgar tribe was wiped out by pirates, and their sacred skulls were lost in the Bengala jungle, protected by The Phantom for generations. One day, New York businessman Xander Drax (played by Treat Williams) sends his men into the Bengala jungle, while the new generation of The Phantom (played by Billy Zane) is set to engage them in a new battle of good versus evil... This film is adapted from the 1936 comic of the same name and won the Australian Cinematographers Society Award for Best Cinematography and the Golden Tripod Award in 1997.
