The first rays of sunlight in the early morning shine on the forest at the edge of the Grand Canyon, bringing everything back to life. In the center of the forest, a little tin man named Andrew yawns and stretches, waking from a night of beautiful dreams. Before he has the chance to take in the charming scenery before him, a little bee named Willy buzzes aggressively in front of him, as if ready to attack. Andrew is so frightened that he shakes all over and runs away, but Willy relentlessly pursues him with a fierce demeanor. An interesting little story with an unexpected ending opens the curtain to a great and glorious history. This film is an animated short produced by John Lasseter, a former Disney animator, at Lucasfilm (the predecessor of Pixar), and it is Pixar's first short film, made for the American Digital Image Association. The character design of Andrew is inspired by Mickey Mouse.
