Tiana is a girl who never believed in fairy tales. With a talent for cooking, her biggest goal is to open her own restaurant. For years, she has been working hard to save money, hoping to achieve her dream through her own efforts. However, on the night she is about to have enough money, she meets a frog who claims to be Prince Naveen. He says he was cursed by the Shadow Man and promises that if Tiana kisses him, he can help her fulfill her dreams. But when Tiana kisses the frog, he does not turn into Prince Naveen, and instead, Tiana transforms into a frog. While escaping from the pursuit of villains, they encounter an alligator named Louis who loves to play jazz and a firefly named Ray. They decide to go to the bayou to seek help from the witch Mama Odie. The evil Shadow Man sends a horde of shadow assassins after them, and at a critical moment, Mama Odie appears, saves them, and tells them that for Naveen to become human again, he must kiss a true princess, Charlotte. However, during their time together, Naveen has already fallen in love with the determined girl... This film incorporates a lot of New Orleans elements in both music and visuals. Randy Newman, who created the music for the film, is an Oscar winner and a New Orleans native.
