Three friends who grew up together in an orphanage, Dekao (played by Zheng Yijian), Squirrel (played by Chen Xiaochun), and Xiaolan (played by Chen Huimin), become scientists researching "human subconsciousness" at the CIA in the United States. They receive news that the criminal Long intends to maliciously spread violent consciousness to Southeast Asia during the World Cup, further triggering a financial storm. Dekao, Squirrel, and Xiaolan become targets of Long. On the day of Squirrel's wedding, they kill Squirrel's wife and kidnap Xiaolan. Determined to take revenge and save Xiaolan, Dekao and Squirrel volunteer to undergo subconscious training at the Academy of Sciences, hoping to become outstanding fighters through the training. However, when they successfully rescue Xiaolan, Squirrel's consciousness mutates, accidentally killing Dekao's lover Xiaolan.
