On August 8, 1995, the Aerospace Division of Komaki Factory, Nihon Heavy Industries, was about to conduct a test flight for the latest helicopter, "Big B," developed for the Japanese Ministry of Defense. One of the key participants in the project, Kazuaki Toyohara (played by Yosuke Eguchi), arrived early at the test flight site with his wife and child, ready to witness this thrilling moment. Shortly before the test flight, Toyohara's son, Takahiko (played by Shota Taguchi), boarded the helicopter, and just then, the unpiloted Big B suddenly started, taking the boy into the air and eventually hovering above the Shin-Ohya Nuclear Power Plant. Soon after, a mysterious figure calling himself "Sky's Hive" issued a statement demanding the immediate shutdown of all nuclear power plants nationwide, or else he would let Big B fall into the nuclear reactor once its fuel ran out. Time ticked away as relevant parties initiated a rescue operation for Takahiko, with the safety of the nuclear power plant determining the fate of all of Japan... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Keigo Higashino.
