Once again it's Valentine's Day, and the egotistical Julian, exiled and disheartened, is wandering through the wilderness of Madagascar with his loyal companion Maurice. Suddenly, he gets hit on the head by a bottle of perfume falling from the sky. An idea sparks in Julian's mind, and he decides to use the "Love Poison 9" to make a splash and regain the spotlight. Lion Alex (voiced by Ben Stiller), zebra Marty (voiced by Chris Rock), hippo Gloria (voiced by Jada Pinkett Smith), and other animals come to join the fun and watch the spectacle. Meanwhile, the quirky penguin gang embarks on their own Valentine's Day mission to concoct their love potion.
