Rich kid Dominik (played by Jakub Gierszal) is spoiled by his parents, has many friends, and lives a carefree life. At a party, he kisses the handsome classmate Alex (played by Bartosz Gelner) as a result of losing a bet, and the entire incident goes viral the next day. Alex insists that Dominik had a "physiological reaction," making him the center of attention. His parents only know how to satisfy him with material possessions, and in his frustration, he drops out of school to immerse himself in online chat rooms. One day, he meets a girl with pink hair, Sylvia (played by Roma Gasiorowska), online and is invited into a virtual world designed for teenagers with suicidal tendencies, known as the "Suicide Room"… The film "Suicide Room" combines live-action and 3D animation to tell the story of a teenager who, despairing of reality, self-exiles into the virtual space of the internet, leading the audience through a senseless rebellion and self-destruction in youth. The film was nominated for the Panorama section of the 2011 Berlin Film Festival and has been praised as "the coolest Polish film in nearly 20 years."
