The story takes place in a textile factory located next to a cemetery. Hall (played by David Andrews) is a homeless man who has come to the small town and starts working the night shift at the factory. Although he now has some income, Hall is very unhappy at work; he often suffers bullying from his coworkers and has significant friction with the foreman, Warwick (played by Stephen Macht). The factory decides to clean out a long-unused basement. Hall joins the cleaning crew, which also includes a girl named Jane (played by Kelly Wolf). In the basement, not only is there a mountain of waste, but there are also rats everywhere. After a difficult effort, they clear a space and discover a hidden door. Hall decides to explore inside the door, but the group ends up trapped and unable to escape.
