Musician Wong Lik-Man (played by Chow Pak-Ho) arrives in Malaysia on a bicycle and rents a room in an antique mansion. On his first night, he is awakened by a strange dream and follows the dream's clues to discover a corpse in the river. Shortly after, noisy photographer Bitty and model Betty also move in, along with the eccentric novelist Ah Niu, creating an atmosphere of mysterious hilarity in the mansion. After being teased by the narrow-minded century-old ghost Granny Long, Lik-Man encounters the legendary Cantonese opera singer Chen Siu-Dit, who was murdered thirty years ago.
