Vampire hunter Jack (James Woods) had an unusual childhood; he killed his father after he turned into a vampire and was raised by the Church. Jack is sent by the Vatican to hunt down vampire king Caleb. Caleb was once a priest who turned into a vampire 700 years ago and is the powerful progenitor of vampires. Jack’s team, unaware of Caleb's nature, suffers heavy losses during the mission, with only Jack and one team member managing to escape.
