In 1958, a murder case occurred at Camp Crystal Lake, resulting in the deaths of two people. This was just one of a series of murders and strange occurrences that plagued the area, which over the years, local residents regarded as an ominous place and intentionally or unintentionally kept their distance from. The camp owner, Steve, hired six counselors to help renovate the camp, including Alice and Jack (Kevin Bacon).
