The story takes place in 1836, when the military fortress Alamo in Texas was attacked by the elite troops led by the dictator Antonio (played by Emilio Echevarría), which meant that the two hundred civilians stationed at the Alamo had to face thousands of well-equipped professional soldiers. This was a war that was fundamentally impossible to win.
