The story takes place in 1836, when the military fortress Alamo in Texas was attacked by the elite troops led by the dictator Antonio (played by Emilio Echevarría), which meant that the two hundred civilians stationed at the Alamo had to face thousands of well-equipped professional soldiers. This was a war that was fundamentally impossible to win. In this crucial moment of life and death, Lieutenant William (played by Patrick Wilson), James (played by Jason Patric), and the Western cowboy David (played by Billy Bob Thornton) bravely stepped forward, leading other warriors from various walks of life to engage in a desperate fight with the enemy. Thirteen days later, the Alamo was littered with corpses; however, the time the warriors bought allowed General Sam (played by Dennis Quaid) to lead his troops there and ultimately repel the Mexican army.
