In the lunar month of July, the ghost gate opens wide. On a small island, a terrifying legend circulates about a woman who died at exactly 23:59 midnight. Ever since, her vengeful spirit has lingered around the island. In the island's military camp, the crude-speaking Dragon (played by Lawrence Koh) tells his comrades about these legends, frightening the weak and timid Tan (played by 曾国珲). It turns out Tan claimed to have seen the female ghost not long ago, fearing he would be brutally killed, but his claims were met with ridicule from his comrades, including his best friend Jeremy (played by 许亮宇), who does not believe him. Soon, the army is set to embark on a long march, and Corporal Kuah (played by Mark Lee), a devout believer in deities, is worried about offending his "good friend" on that day and requests a postponement, but the returning commander refuses to consent. That night, Tan is gruesomely killed in the woods, causing an uproar among the soldiers. After this, supernatural events begin to occur in the army...
