Shortly after her struggle with Freddy (Robert Englund), Kristen (Tuesday Knight) is once again visited by his terrifying figure in her dreams. Kristen reveals Freddy's return to her friends, Kincaid and Joey, whom she treated with in the hospital. However, the two boys believe Freddy is dead and that they are only awaiting a peaceful adolescence. Freddy soon strikes again, killing Kincaid and Joey in the dream, leaving Kristen in despair after losing her friends. Luckily, her friend Alice (Lisa Wilcox), who believes dreams are a remedy for the oppression of reality, appears. When Freddy attacks Kristen in her dream, she seeks Alice's help, pulling her into her dream and involving her in Freddy's deadly rampage. Kristen ultimately gets killed, and Alice decides to seek revenge for her friend…
