"On the Aisle" premiered in the competition section of the 2018 Berlin Film Festival. Stuber opens a window into the life of an ordinary worker in East Germany, transforming daily life into magical realism, while a tender love story momentarily shifts toward hope. Shy and reclusive Christian loses his job and subsequently starts working at a wholesale market, receiving care from Bruno in the beverage department, who is as caring as a father.
