In the coming decades, humanity's exploration and utilization of space deepens. In 2040, the "Event Horizon," which utilizes space distortion technology to delve deep into the universe, disappears near Neptune. In 2047, Event Horizon suddenly sends a distress signal from Neptune, prompting Dr. Weir (played by Sam Neill), the designer of the ship, to be assigned to lead a rescue mission aboard the ship "Lewis and Clark."
