At her father's birthday party, the sudden shattering of a mirror leaves Gina (Lena Headey) and the guests deeply unsettled. The next day, Gina arrives at the hospital where she works, only to be told that she had just left the hospital a short while ago. Gina dismisses this anomaly as a hallucination caused by her colleagues, but the subsequent events shatter her calm—both a red SUV driving down the street and the woman inside it are identical to her. Unable to control her curiosity, Gina follows the woman to an apartment building and later suffers a devastating car accident. To recover, she moves in with her boyfriend Stephen (Melvil Poupaud) and shares her experiences with him, but he believes she is simply suffering from a concussion. Gina falls into endless fear and doubt.
