In 1912, to save her deeply comatose sister, the smart and courageous French journalist Adele Blanc-Sec (played by Louise Bourgoin) travels the world in search of a cure. Ignoring her publisher's request to explore ancient Incan fruit in Peru, she heads to Egypt to find the legendary pharaoh's doctor mummy. After a series of perilous confrontations, Adele finally obtains the mummy and sets off for home. Meanwhile, strange events unfold at the Natural History Museum in Paris. A dinosaur egg suddenly hatches a pterosaur, which attacks the former police chief's car that night, alarming the nation and prompting the government to demand that the police solve the case within 24 hours. With the resurrecting mummy and the dangerous pterosaur, Adele is about to embark on a new adventure... This film is adapted from the bestselling comic of the same name by Jacques Tardi.
