Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss) never imagined that the handsome man Adrian (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) who once captivated her would now become the source of her nightmares. Shortly after they began their relationship, Adrian started to exert both psychological and physical control over Cecilia. Finally, unable to bear it any longer, Cecilia sedated Adrian one night and successfully escaped from his clutches. Later, Cecilia was shocked to receive news of Adrian's suicide; she could hardly believe that this tormentor had truly vanished from her life. However, her doubts were not unfounded, as it seemed that an invisible shadow was watching her in every corner of her life, trying to reach out to her.
