At Helington High School in Ohio, it seems that overnight, the teachers and some of the top students have become very strange. Their previously amiable attitudes have turned cold and eerie, and this situation seems to be escalating. The problem student Casey (played by Elijah Wood) and Delilah (played by Jordana Brewster) accidentally hide in a closet and witness the brutal murder of Nurse Rosa (played by Salma Hayek). But not long after, Rosa appears unharmed before everyone, yet her expression is as sinister as the other teachers. Casey and the others gradually realize that this series of events is related to some kind of mysterious creature they have discovered, and now this creature seems to be spreading at an unimaginably terrifying speed. Danger is closing in...
