During the Cold War, Bruce Banner (played by Eric Bana) has a father who is a scientist for the U.S. military, dedicated to researching genetic modification to give humans superhuman abilities, aiming to create super soldiers for the military. However, his project did not gain the support of the military, and he couldn't conduct human trials. In his madness, the father conducts genetic experiments on newborn Banner. Years later, Banner becomes an outstanding scientist, focusing on developing new types of high-energy bombs for the military. During a routine experiment, due to an operational error, Banner is exposed to a powerful gamma radiation blast while trying to protect a colleague. While an ordinary person would surely die from such exposure, Banner survives. The experiment his father conducted on him years ago also becomes effective due to this nuclear radiation. Once Banner gets angry, a mysterious power within him is triggered, transforming him into the unconscious Hulk, who possesses immense destructive power and a rebellious consciousness.
