After 28 weeks of a terrifying and lethal virus ravaging the world, the UK is left deserted. With the hosts gone, the virus would seem to have perished as well. However, when a transport plane from America lands, the Britons who left the UK before the outbreak return to a land devastated by the virus for half a year. They can be considered the last group of Britons on Earth, bearing the weight of rebuilding their homeland. Yet, shortly after the reconstruction begins, reports emerge of survivors infected with the virus. Scientists hope to extract serum from the survivors to develop a vaccine against the virus. But to their shock, the virus has not disappeared as everyone assumed; instead, it has evolved and become even more powerful. This last group of people on the British Isles will face an unprecedented crisis…
