Shunsei (played by Takeuchi Yutaka) is a picture restorer living in Italy with his girlfriend, Yami (played by Shinohara Ryoko), but he often experiences an inexplicable sense of emptiness. Ten years ago, he had a girlfriend, Aoi (played by Kelly Chen), a Chinese exchange student whom he met while she was studying in Japan. They parted ways due to misunderstandings, but both still have feelings for each other. While wandering the busy streets, Shunsei sees a figure resembling Aoi and realizes that only she can fill the void he’s felt all along. He decides to go to Milan to find Aoi, only to discover that she is now the girlfriend of a businessman, Wen (played by Wang Minde). After their reunion, the old flames rekindle, and the misunderstandings are resolved. Will they follow through on the promises they made back then?
