Aduro (played by Carlo Verdone) is having a rough time, so much so that he has to chase after runaway cats to earn money. He currently lives in his aunt's house, who is suffering from dementia. On the other hand, Yuri (played by Antonio Albanese) is a stage actor. Ever since separating from his wife, he has been unable to remember his lines, lost his job, and is broke. Their meeting arises from a tracking assignment. Yuri wants to uncover the relationship between his ex-wife and her lover, so he hires Aduro to follow and eavesdrop on them. However, what they overhear is not evidence, but an ambiguous conversation. It’s this conversation that triggers a series of bizarre events, putting the duo of Aduro and Yuri in a predicament.
