The coachman Zhang Dadan (played by Sammo Hung) claims to have extraordinary courage and fears no ghosts, often betting with others to test his bravery. One day, he finishes work early and discovers that his wife (played by Leung Shuet-wai) is having an affair with someone, who turns out to be his employer, Boss Tan (played by Huang Xia). To cover up the truth, Boss Tan sends his assistant (played by Tsoi Siu-Chung) to find the Maoshan Taoist Qian Zhenren (played by Chen Long) to set a trap and kill Dadan. Qian Zhenren lays a trap, luring Zhang Dadan to the Ma family ancestral hall under the guise of a bet and uses magic to summon zombies to chase Dadan. Qian’s disciple Xu Zhenren (played by Chung Fat) is dissatisfied with his master’s greed and evil deeds. He secretly aids Dadan, helping him escape this disaster. However, Boss Tan’s malice does not end there; if one scheme fails, he will launch another, determined to eliminate Dadan...
