At a slaughterhouse in Texas, a plump female worker is cutting meat on a chopping board when she suddenly feels severe abdominal pain; she is in labor and gives birth to a deformed child, which she abandons in a trash can, later to be rescued by a janitor. Years later, a group of young people drive past this location. Eric (Matthew Bomer), who has just returned from the front lines in Vietnam, reunites with his fiancée Chrissie (Jordana Brewster) and then learns that his brother Dean (Taylor Handley) is preparing to go to the front as well, and he initially wants to accompany him into battle. However, Dean, persuaded by his girlfriend Bailey (Diora Baird), plans to burn his enlistment papers, leading to an argument between them. At that moment, they are provoked by a street racing gang. Later, the leading girl is shot dead by the police. Officer Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) stops their car and takes them to the eerie slaughterhouse, where they begin to endure inhumane torment...
