Andrei (played by Aleksei Guskov) is praised as a musical genius and was once the famous conductor of Russia's greatest symphonic orchestra, "Boshua." However, he was fired for refusing to expel Jewish musicians from the orchestra, including his best friend, Sasha (played by Dmitri Nazarov), and he developed a drinking problem. The current manager of "Boshua," in order to mock and humiliate Andrei, makes him stay in the orchestra as a cleaner. By chance, Andrei discovers a fax stating that the largest concert hall in Paris, the Palais des Congrès, invites "Boshua" to perform and requests a response within two weeks. Suddenly, Andrei comes up with a crazy plan to gather his former musical partners together again. After being exiled from the orchestra, they have now become a mixed group of ordinary people on the streets of Moscow, working in bottom-tier jobs just to make ends meet: taxi drivers, stevedores, flea market vendors, and voice actors for adult films. They decide to stand in for the real "Boshua" in Paris and seek revenge against all the injustices they have faced...
