During the Spring and Autumn Period, the lustful and foolish King Xuan of Qi (played by Anita Mui) accidentally stumbles into Yasha Mountain, where he encounters the beautiful chieftain Zhōng Wúyàn (played by Sammi Cheng). King Xuan decides to marry Zhōng Wúyàn as his queen, but the "vixen" (played by Cecilia Cheung) who has long harbored feelings for her intervenes. Whenever Zhōng Wúyàn falls in love with someone else, an ugly red mark appears on her face for no reason. The vixen later transforms into Xia Yingchun to seduce King Xuan, who becomes utterly entranced by her charms. Meanwhile, Zhōng Wúyàn fights valiantly for her husband, engaging in battles across the lands. King Xuan only treats her kindly when he needs her help. He is also a compulsive gambler and, shockingly, loses Zhōng Wúyàn in a bet. Furious, she leaves, and the red mark on her face naturally disappears. After achieving her goal, Xia Yingchun also departs from the palace, prompting King Xuan to realize who he truly loves, leading him to repent. When traitors attack, Zhōng Wúyàn, still in love with King Xuan, rushes to the palace to help fend off the enemies…
