Licai (played by Zhang Jingchu), born in the 1980s, wakes up one morning and calmly walks into the civil affairs bureau; she realizes that while flash marriages may be too old-fashioned, flash divorces are still an option: who hasn't felt the itch after seven years? On the way home, she unexpectedly collides with a BMW, and upon returning, she starts to reflect on her tragic situation: youth gone, husband cheating, leaving with nothing, and a wrecked car.
The appearance of rich second-generation Kang Shao (played by Wu Kequn) serves as a shot of adrenaline in Licai's life. After a dramatic and cheesy encounter reminiscent of "meeting an old friend in a foreign land," they keep crossing paths. Licai gradually discovers that beneath Kang Shao's carefree exterior lies a soft and delicate heart. However, glancing at her flat chest and the high age on her household registration, Licai hesitates to engage. Unbeknownst to her, she runs into her best friend Maomao (played by Zhu Zhu), who experiences a classic case of love at first sight, followed by infatuation, leading to a lifelong misunderstanding, thus setting the stage for an awkward and passionate love triangle. Meanwhile, her melancholic ex-husband Liu Guangming (played by Pan YUeming), after overcoming his post-divorce depression, slowly starts to turn his life around: correcting his unromantic ways, trying to win Maomao over to create opportunities for himself, and bribing the clever son to become his "accomplice." Memories of love are slowly reviving on the windowsill of their old house, and Licai must decide how to choose.
On her journey alone in a foreign land, Licai yearns to find her true inner voice: life's ups and downs are unpredictable, and the inner turmoil brings about rebirth. On a sunlit beach, familiar faces meet again; after the clouds, sunshine finally opens a new chapter in life.
