Brian (played by Lee Tergesen) is a former CIA agent who suddenly finds himself embroiled in a series of bizarre and dangerous events. A string of unfortunate incidents begins to revolve around him: the puppy he bought for his daughter explodes en route, his wife Linoar (played by Lauren Stamile) finds a new partner during their separation, and his daughter Kim is caught in a deadlock in her relationship with her father. During a night shift, Brian accidentally witnesses a group of suspicious individuals secretly transporting explosives. Following the clues, he discovers an empire that appears dog-friendly on the surface but is actually harming innocent dogs behind the scenes, involving a larger conspiracy. To salvage his family relationships, he teams up with his mother, a former CIA agent, to investigate. However, on his daughter’s birthday, a group of adversaries suddenly appears. Although his daughter manages to escape, Brian, his wife, and his mother are trapped by the enemies.
