Colin (André Dussollier) and Catherine (Sabine Azéma) are a pair of theater enthusiasts. During their rehearsal for a new play, they receive shocking news: their mutual friend George (André Dussollier) has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has little time left. Catherine feels very complicated about George's illness, as she previously had a secret affair with him that could not be made public. Alongside Catherine, George's ex-girlfriend Tamara (Sandrine Kiberlain) and his former wife Monica have also returned to him. Although all three women are now in relationships, they all desire to be the one who accompanies George through the final stages of his life.
