Roy (played by Nicolas Cage) is a highly skilled con artist with a bold and greedy partner, Frank (played by Sam Rockwell). They have been working together for many years, rarely failing. Roy is also a compulsive obsessive disorder patient. He is a clean freak who does not allow others to wear shoes in his home; he is cautious and checks the gas and power switches several times before leaving. Frank helps him find a psychologist. With the help of the psychologist, Roy finds his long-lost daughter, Angela (played by Alison Lohman). Her presence changes his life, and he slowly begins to enjoy being a father. However, he does not want his daughter to know about his profession. But as secrets cannot be hidden forever, his daughter discovers his secret and shows exceptional talent for deception. Roy decides to pass on all his skills to her. Soon, a big job comes in, and father, daughter, and partner team up. What will happen next?
