The film's protagonists are five young adults nearing thirty, who spend their days idly, indulging in pranks and indulging in fantastical, unrealistic plans. The oldest among them, Faust, makes the youngest, Morad's sister Sandra, pregnant, and under pressure from a sense of responsibility and those around them, they get married. Faust works at an antique shop but is fired for his bad habits and attempts to seduce the shop owner's wife. One day, Sandra learns that Faust has spent the night with a dancer at a cheap motel, and the next day she leaves home with their child; a distressed Faust feels Sandra's importance for the first time. He and Morad's four brothers desperately search for Sandra's whereabouts, and when Faust finally finds her, he is scolded by his father and begs for Sandra's forgiveness. Seeing the two reconcile, Morad leaves early the next morning to start his own journey.
